The Blackbird, sized for the shelf — still the fastest thing on it.
A compact 1:200 diecast SR-71A Blackbird (serial 61-7972) — the affordable way to put the legendary recon jet on display.
The Aircraft
The SR-71 cruised above Mach 3 at the edge of space, outrunning every threat for thirty years. Even small, its unmistakable silhouette commands attention.
The Detail
The long chines and twin engines read clearly at 1:200. The real 61-7972 is one of the most famous of all Blackbirds — on its 1990 retirement flight it streaked from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. in just 64 minutes, and it's preserved today at the Smithsonian. We build it to honor the crews who flew the impossible.
