F-14A Tomcat — VF-2 "Bounty Hunters" 1:72 Diecast Model

Long-nosed, twin-tailed, swing-wing — the F-14 didn't just defend the carrier. It owned the sky around it. This 1:72 diecast wears the colors of VF-2 "Bounty Hunters," among the first squadrons to take the Tomcat to sea.

The Aircraft

Built to out-reach anything that threatened the fleet, the F-14A paired variable-sweep wings with the long arm of the AIM-54 Phoenix. Wings forward for the slow, knife-edge work of a carrier approach; wings swept back for Mach 2. For a generation of naval aviators, it was simply the airplane.

The Squadron

VF-2 reformed around the Tomcat in the 1970s and carried it through decades of carrier deployments. We build this model to honor the crews who flew and maintained it — the work, not the war.
